Oh, you remember that much. Well! When I worked for the organization, which was a very long time ago, I earned the rank of "first".

And that's what they call us, you see. The highest-ranked claymores who don't stay claymores. They call us the "Abyssal Ones".

Well ... we've never met, so giving you any sort of time frame that matches up with my perspective wouldn't mean very much, would it?

[Everything in this conversation has been--not confusing, but still disorienting; she hasn't remembered nearly enough of her world to know how all these bits and pieces from Riful should fit, though it seems like she's remembered enough to see the general space of where they could fit, eventually. maybe.

Clare, though...that she can hold on to, even if Riful's Clare isn't her Clare.]

I have little enough detail as it is. A little more wouldn't bore me at all.

Hmmm ... let's see. What was it she was after ...? Yes. There was a monster she hunted. Not for the Organization. For herself.

That monster, who murdered everything in her path, spared her life. She was just a girl then.

[she pauses] Imagine that, though. She must have lost everything she cared about, and still lived on. That's quite an inspiring story, isn't it?

Well, she was a claymore, I doubt she found it easy to make friends. Still, she wasn't exactly unlikable. She was the kind of girl who could ruin all your plans, and you could still find reasons to forgive her for it later.

Maybe a better word for it would be "inspiring". Like she didn't know how to give up, and any time she made a new friend, it seems they forgot how to give up too.
