But the point is. I have hit exactly 7300 comments with the voreloli, as of this comment, and she's off to a Happy Ending, and so IT IS TIME FOR THE LAST QUESTION MEME I CAN DO WITH HER (at least until I app her somewhere else shhh).

I am gonna open this up to anyone who wants to ask anything. Consider this an exit interview, of sorts, to get my thoughts together while I still wrap up her last post and start thinking about writing up a Postgame SOTU.

ANYWAY, THING ONE: while on hiatus, I talked to Zazzle about this and while we had to offscreen the actual giving of the quest, if your characters want to notice that Sword is tending to a garden Maleficent's gotten started somewhere near(ish) Onyx where things grow, FEEL FREE TO NOTICE. It's a regular, daily thing, her getting her hands dirty trimming & tending to the plants there, and every day there's a little bit more of them for her to work on, so that's a thing.

This is all for a glass key for Drift! You can't say she doesn't do things for you, bb.


THING TWO: she has some sort of charm on her wrist, either ... a bracelet or a bracer of some kind, I keep forgetting to ask which & will edit this once I ask Zazzle whups. This is for when she has THE WORST OF THE HUNGER PANGS, she can touch it and it acts as an immediate splash of metaphorical cold water on the urge to eat people.

This is also in concert with Maleficent giving her the option to come spend some time chilling with her, alone, where Mally will act as a dampener on the hunger as well (much like how she gave Sion some pain relief in the past).

As a note, these are both solutions handed down by Mally in the immediate aftermath (as in, while Obsidian still has her pinned under his weight) of Sword's thread with Yukio, Josh, and Obsidian, so provided their players are cool with having that convo handwaved, the three of them know about these options for sure!

Please note: these are all dependent on Sword voluntarily choosing to take these relief options ... it's still her choice to refuse to eat people because it's inconvenient. She is definitely still a potential threat.


THING THREE: Sword also now has a firecat! Courtesy Firebird. It is a real, live animal. It acts just like a cat does, and will nuzzle, hiss, claw, and purr like any living thing would, because it is alive, she did not pick the option that only went halfway on that. For people who played in Firebird's exploradora sorta-heartgame yes it is the firecat you could make by touching the cat skeleton's heart ... she took her time completing the quest she asked Firebird for it. It eats very dry things and nothing with water in it. Also it's a she.

Firecat still has no name, because Sword is hilarious.

I've spent the past several months looking for work - and it took a while and it hasn't been the most fun, but I finally managed to get a lock on a job this week. However, it has variable hours - I won't know what my schedule looks like for the next day until end of shift the previous day. Sooooo this makes judging my ability to make games and be around when most everyone else is a little difficult.

On the other hand, I can make a reasonable guess that most of those hours will likely be evening hours EST, with the exception of the weekend (in which case they miiiiiight be "all day" - I work as a line cook in a restaurant), so ... chances are high if I am able to make a game in the future, given when they usually happen, it will be a complete surprise to me and to you.

SO YEAH. JUST A HEADS UP. Asuka and Riful will likely be a lot scarcer than they usually are.

This is going to cut back a whole hell of a lot on my activity simply due to never being around when anyone else is, I can already see it. :(

Some of these effects will fade as the intensity of the memory fades, and she'll go back to just being good old Riful who lazes around and doesn't really do anything much except troll and kill things for fun and eat and sleep, but right now: CONTACT HIGH, EVERYBODY WATCH OUT. When she Awakened in canon she was actually so revved up by it she slaughtered nearly the entire Organization before calming down and probably going to sleep.

This is just the memory, there's sensations and drives missing, and she's got monsters to kill to work off a lot of the excess steam, but nevertheless. TAKE THE WARNING SERIOUSLY. It'll be fine if you don't want anything to happen - just, hey, comment here if you do, and we'll work something out.
